Changes for First Home Buyers
From 1 October 2025, Sydney first-home buyers can access the expanded Home Guarantee Scheme with higher price caps and fewer restrictions, making it easier to buy with a 5 % deposit.
Know Your Rights on Price Estimates
- Selling your property in NSW? Agents must provide accurate, evidence-based price estimates and avoid misleading terms like “offers over” or “$XXX,000+.”
- Estimates must reflect market conditions, recent sales, and property features, with changes communicated in writing. Sellers can keep prices private, and agents must provide evidence for all estimates.
